🗳️ A Message of Gratitude and the Journey Ahead
To the Beautiful People of District 35,
Thank you. From the very bottom of my heart, thank you to every single neighbor, volunteer, and voter who cast their ballot for me. Whether you stood with me during my write-in campaign in 2024 or voted for our vision in the 2026 primary under the Gold Dome, your belief in a better Georgia is what kept me moving forward. While the election results this week did not lean in our favor, I want you to know one thing clearly:
Our work does not stop here. We are just getting started, and I will be back on the ballot in 2028.
📖 Pulling Back the Curtain: The Next Chapter:
The fight for real representation requires absolute transparency. Over the past two election cycles, I have faced the highest highs of community love and the lowest lows of backroom political machinery.
I will spend the next year pouring my heart, energy, and raw truth into my upcoming book. This book will details my life, my 18 years on the front lines of the housing crisis, and the deep, behind-the-scenes struggles of running both as a write-in candidate in 2024 and in the 2026 Georgia State Senate race. It is time for Georgians to see exactly what happens behind closed doors when everyday people try to challenge career politicians.
🏡 The Promise Remains
My office has never been a quiet desk in a high-rise; it has always been your front porch. The crises facing District 35 do not disappeared overnight:
- Rent is still up 39% across our neighborhoods.
- Working families are still one flat tire away from eviction.
- Our seniors are still being squeezed by rising taxes and aggressive fines.
I don’t need a political title to keep fighting for you. I will continue to stand in the doorways, to help families avoid eviction, and organize our community. building a long-term, unshakable grassroots strategy. We are resting, we are writing, and we are organizing. See you at the grocery aisles, the local festivals, and back on the campaign trail for 2028.
With love, dignity, and unyielding resolve,
Mrs. DesVignes
